Job Overview
Reporting to the QLD Manager, the Project Engineer will be responsible for providing post‐sales management of supply of steel reinforcing products, with a specialisation in prefabricated, value‐add engineering solutions. Working on the supply side, you will primarily be involved in projects in the Tier 1 building and major infrastructure segment.
This role is a critical part of the project delivery team and is a key point of contact for customers as well as internal stakeholders including scheduling, planning, operations and dispatch. You will work with the wider Sales, Project Delivery and Operations team to provide value‐add engineering solutions and exceptional customer outcomes for new and existing projects.
Responsibilities
* Identify and forecast risks and opportunities for value‐add engineering of reinforcing supply to major projects
* Project Management to ensure the business achieves DIFOT targets and customer satisfaction
* Understand, design and optimise internal business processes
* Build and maintain customer and stakeholder relationships
* Work on budgets, programming and design details
* Provide positive leadership, driving commitment to quality
* Preparation and maintenance of budgets and tracking of project performance

Qualifications
* A qualification in either Civil or Structural Engineering and RPEQ registration with a background in sales
* Demonstrated commercial acumen and negotiation skills
* Ability to read construction and reinforcing drawings
* Ability to build and foster customer relationships
* Sound IT skills and experience using a CRM (desirable)
