About the Role
The successful candidate will work with a team of experienced engineers and technical professionals to manage Defence spectrum at a regulatory and strategic level. This includes providing operational spectrum support to the Australian Defence Force.
Key Responsibilities
As part of the team, you will provide Defence stakeholders with spectrum engineering advice and contribute to shaping policies and procedures for spectrum management. You will also participate in domestic and international spectrum matters of strategic interest to Defence, working closely with other government agencies and foreign military partners.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A background in Physics, Mathematics, Software Engineering or Telecom/Communications Engineering
* The ability to think strategically and develop plans and processes to enhance business outcomes
* Effective problem-solving skills, deductive reasoning, and the capacity to respond positively to dynamic environments
* Experience with modelling and simulating systems, as well as identifying risks in planning, decision-making, and priority setting
* Strong communication and customer engagement skills, as well as high-level organisational skills and self-drive
