The Role
In this role, you will support leaders and employees by providing practical HR advice and assisting in the delivery of people initiatives that align with business objectives. You will contribute to maintaining best-practice HR processes, ensuring compliance, and fostering a positive employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Support end-to-end recruitment activities, including job advertising, screening, and onboarding
* Provide practical HR advice and day-to-day support to supervisors and managers
* Assist with the administration of HRIS and timekeeping systems
* Deliver engaging HR inductions for new starters
* Provide guidance on employee relations matters in line with employment legislation, Industrial Awards, and Enterprise Agreements
* Assist with performance management and development processes
* Contribute to the rollout of HR initiatives, policies, and continuous improvement projects
* Support engagement, culture, and change initiatives across the business
* Maintain accurate HR records and contribute to reporting and insights
About You
* Minimum 1 year of experience in an HR or HR support role
* Some recruitment experience is advantageous
* Exposure to employment legislation and the industrial relations framework
* Experience in a blue-collar environment (e.g. manufacturing, logistics, recycling, or engineering) is highly regarded
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels
* Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused
* A positive team player with a genuine desire to learn, contribute, and build a long-term career
