Meet your new team
Based out of our newly updated Balcatta store, you will be joining a high energy, supportive team, working collaboratively to deliver outstanding customer service to drive in store sales.
The role
The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the daily operations of the store. This role involves assisting with team management, driving sales performance, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining store standards. The Assistant Manager helps oversee staff performance, manage stock levels, ensure operational compliance, and contribute to the store's overall success. This position serves as a key leadership role, stepping in for the Store Manager when required.
How you will make an impact
As our Assistant Store Manager, this role will see you:
* Support in driving sales performance and achieving monthly revenue targets.
* Lead by example in providing excellent customer service and resolving customer queries or complaints.
* Help implement store policies, procedures, and best practices.
* Provide on-the-job coaching to sales assistants to enhance product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills.
* Assist in stock management, including inventory control, stock orders, and product rotation.
* Support the Store Manager with daily cash handling, including balancing registers and deposits.
* Help with the management of store budgets, controlling expenses, and minimising shrinkage.
The successful candidate
Our ideal candidate for the Assistant Store Manager role will demonstrate:
* Experience in a similar retail leadership role, working in a small and dynamic team.
* Store operations experience from driving sales, admin, reporting, rostering and delivering exceptional customer service.
* An interest in product to explain not just the features but their benefits and value.
* Team coaching, development and training experience.
* A new age leader mindset: being proactive with exceptional planning, admin and communication skills to motivate and support your team.
* Being able to work a rotating roster as needed.
