The Renmark Club in Renmark South, SA, has recently completed a million-dollar Cafe/Bar and Gaming upgrade with well advanced plans for more major upgrades in the next 18 months. It offers dining areas catering for up to 400 guests, providing a range of dining options from casual bistro to formal dinners. It has 40 of the latest gaming machines and a strong beverage trade.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Management:Assist the General Manager (GM) with day-to-day operations and long-term business planning.Ensure smooth execution of all club procedures across departments, adhering to set standards.Monitor customer satisfaction and ensure superior service delivery.Conduct property inspections (daily, weekly, monthly) and report maintenance or FF&E status to the GM.Leadership & Team Development:Lead and support the senior management team, promoting teamwork and high performance.Conduct training for staff and department heads as needed.Oversee staff adherence to opening, closing, and security procedures.Serve as a conduit between the GM and staff, addressing grievances and maintaining morale.Compliance & Licensing:Ensure team compliance with liquor and gaming license requirements.Monitor barring documents and ensure review processes for BOEN and licensed premises.Conduct audits in operational areas and ensure adherence to licensing regulations.Strategic Development & Innovation:Collaborate on future growth plans and innovations to enhance the club's operations and customer experience.Work with key staff to develop seasonal and themed menus, supporting events during quieter periods.Liaise with community, tourism, and marketing bodies to elevate the club's brand at local and state levels.Event Planning & Marketing:Assist the Functions Manager in planning and executing regional and national events.Coordinate with the Social Media Team to create engaging content and promotions.Develop new events and strategies to generate income and attract diverse clientele.Financial & Business Planning:Assist the GM in budgeting, capital projects, and refurbishment efforts.Streamline and manage KPIs for personal and senior management performance.Provide input on staff evaluations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.Customer Relations:Act as the club's public relations representative, fostering a positive community image.Eligibility Criteria: Only persons onshore with permanent work rights in Australia will be considered for this position.Seniority LevelMid-Senior levelEmployment TypeFull-timeJob FunctionManagement and ManufacturingIndustries: Restaurants
