headspace Darwin: Care That's Shared, Supported and Sustainable
headspace Darwin, led by Anglicare NT, delivers early intervention mental health services to young people aged 12–25 across the Top End.
Our multidisciplinary model brings together mental health care, early psychosis intervention, alcohol and other drugs support, physical and sexual health services, psychiatry, and family-inclusive practice — ensuring young people receive holistic, coordinated support.
But what truly sets us apart is how we work.
Here, clinical responsibility is shared. Decisions are collaborative. Supervision is embedded. Reflective practice is protected time — not something you squeeze in after hours.
We are committed to culturally responsive, trauma-informed care, and we prioritise clinician wellbeing as much as client outcomes. You'll be supported by experienced leaders, structured supervision, and a team that genuinely backs one another.
This is sustainable practice, for young people and for you.

Grow Your Impact in Youth Mental Health
Clinical Lead | Primary Program | Reports to Centre Manager
This role blends clinical leadership and direct therapeutic practice. You will provide oversight across the Primary team while maintaining a caseload and contributing to service quality and development.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing clinical leadership and mentorship
* Delivering assessments and evidence-based therapeutic interventions
* Supporting reflective practice and clinical supervision
* Contributing to program development and continuous improvement
* Promoting culturally safe and collaborative care
We welcome experienced mental health clinicians who may already be leading, as well as those ready to step into leadership with strong structural support behind them.
Senior Clinicians| Early Psychosis Program | Reports to Program Manager
These roles focus on supporting young people experiencing or at risk of early psychosis within a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting risk assessments and therapeutic interventions
* Supporting young people with complex and emerging presentations
* Participating in shared case planning and decision-making
* Delivering family-inclusive and culturally responsive care
* Contributing to a culture grounded in accountability and reflection
These roles require demonstrated experience within a mental health setting. While not suited to new graduates, we welcome clinicians with solid foundational experience who are ready to step confidently into a senior clinical capacity.
All applicants must hold relevant professional registration, Australian work rights, a Driver's Licence, and meet NT compliance requirements (Ochre Card and Police Check). NZ applicants must already hold, or be eligible for, relevant Australian professional registration.
Grounded in Practice. Ready for More.
You will hold a tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Mental Health Nursing, with AHPRA or AASW registration, and bring:
* Experience within a mental health setting
* Strong risk assessment and clinical judgement
* Confidence working in multidisciplinary teams
* Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally safe practice
For the Clinical Lead role, prior supervision or leadership experience is highly regarded — though we welcome clinicians ready to grow into leadership with structured support.
For the Senior Clinician roles, you'll have solid mental health experience and be ready to step into a senior clinical capacity.
Across both pathways, you value:
* Shared accountability
* Reflective practice
* Cultural humility
* Sustainable, team-based care
If you're confident in your foundations and ready to expand your impact, this is your opportunity to do so — with the right support behind you.
Professional Growth Without Burnout
We believe sustainable practice creates better outcomes, for young people and for clinicians.
In addition to competitive HPSS-aligned salaries, you will receive:
* Additional relocation or retention incentives (negotiable)
* Travel support within Darwin (fleet vehicles provided)
* Accommodation support for Katherine outreach (if required)
* Ongoing professional development including CBT, DBT, Single Session Therapy and Family Inclusive Practice
* Protected supervision and reflective practice time
* Structured leadership support for emerging Clinical Leads
Here, growth is intentional. Support is structured. And sustainability is built into how we operate.
