As a Graduate Registered Nurse, you will work closely with other health professionals in multi-disciplinary teams. You will enjoy this Graduate Program if you are passionate about supporting the lifestyle and choices of our clients, love a challenge, thrive in a busy environment and work effectively in a team-based environment of care.
Helping Hand is seeking enthusiastic candidates with a passion for enabling older people to live their best lives by demonstrating our core values in everything we do; Compassion, Respect, Excellence and Community.
This innovative Graduate Registered Nurse Program consists of the following:
* Year 1 – Enrolment in the AMNEC Transition to Professional Practice Program which is fully funded by Helping Hand. Graduates will be required to attend one day of paid training every three to four weeks off site at Whyalla UNISA campus. Travel will be required to attend these training days.
* Year 2 is a specialised individual program to focus on your Clinical areas of interest and expertise throughout the program you will be able to apply for additional study support.
What you’ll bring
To succeed in this role, you will have:
* Bachelor of Nursing qualification
* Current AHPRA registration
* An interest in the Aged Care sector
* The ability to operate smartphones and apps (such as Microsoft Outlook)
* Valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance or be willing to obtain one
* Hold a valid and current Driver’s Licence as you will be required to travel to Whyalla from your chosen site.
You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have some of the following:
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a wide range of people
* The ability to contribute in a team, while demonstrating leadership skills with support
* Demonstrated ability to make decisions, take initiative and work independently
