Job Description
The successful candidates will be responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure value for money across diverse projects, including high-value and community-beneficial projects. They will also ensure compliance with legislative requirements, State Government guidelines, and council policies and procedures for tendering and contract activities.
* Coordinate procurement activities related to major events, libraries, and venue hire services.
* Support the Category Manager for City Life and the Procurement Business Partner overseeing procurement for construction projects, City Access and Transport, Urban Design, and Architectural teams.

The contract roles include all standard permanent employee benefits on a pro-rata basis, including annual and personal (sick) leave, one paid day off every four weeks, and three paid 'Care and Culture' days annually. Additional paid leave may be granted during the Christmas and New Year period.

Role 1: Procurement Specialist - City Life (6 months)
This is an initial 6-month contract role, with potential for extension or permanency. It supports the Category Manager for City Life, focusing on procurement activities related to major events, libraries, and venue hire services. This position is a maternity leave cover.
Role 2: Procurement Specialist - Chief Operations Officer Division (12 months)
This 12-month contract role, with potential for extension or permanency, supports the Procurement Business Partner overseeing procurement for construction projects, City Access and Transport, Urban Design, and Architectural teams.
