Enco is seeking a Locomotive Reliability Engineer to support maintenance teams and rail operations within a mid-tier mining company. The role will focus on active fleet monitoring and performance, with opportunities to drive fleet improvement projects and optimise maintenance.
Contract details:
* Contract duration = 3-6 months
* 8/6 FIFO roster ex. Perth
Key responsibilities will include:
* Monitor the locomotive fleet using remote systems and maintenance feedback
* Conduct weekly and monthly reporting on any failures and failure trends
* Support the design and implementation of improvement projects
* Support warranty claims and capture of failure information
* Conduct RCAs and collaborate with OEMs to drive quality improvements
Essential skills you will bring:
* Tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Reliability Engineering
* Recent experience (within 2yrs) in working with heavy haul locomotives (EMD/Progress Rail & GE Locomotives ideal)
* Strong understanding of reliability engineering principles (RCM, FMEA, RCA)
* Experience in analysing asset performance
* Strong analytical, reporting and communication skills
Note: Applications from candidates with heavy haul, rail freight, or mining locomotive experience will be prioritised. Experience limited to rollingstock or light rail systems may not align with the operational requirements of this role.
