About the Role
We are seeking a talented and versatile Graphic Designer to join our expanding Media & Communications team.
We are open to all levels of experience, from Junior to Mid-Level dependant on experience.
Following the recent acquisition of an expansion WNBL license, this newly created position will report to the Head of Brand, Design & Content and play a pivotal role in creating visual assets that connect with fans, members and tell both brands' stories.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across two dynamic Tasmanian basketball teams and contribute to the visual evolution of our growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Multi-Brand Design Excellence - Create compelling visual content for both the established JackJumpers NBL team and the exciting new WNBL franchise
- Digital Asset Creation - Design engaging content for social media channels, websites, and electronic direct marketing campaigns
- Print and Merchandise Design - Develop membership collateral, merchandise designs, and energetic game-day assets
- Brand Consistency - Ensure all creative work aligns with brand guidelines, maintaining consistency in fonts, layouts, tone of voice across both teams
- Creative Development - Contribute to the ongoing evolution of creative campaigns and seasonal content for both franchises
- Cross-Department Collaboration - Work closely with internal teams to maintain visual consistency and support fan engagement initiatives
About You
- Degree/Diploma in Graphic Design or equivalent professional experience
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator
- Strong portfolio demonstrating solid design principles including typography, layout, and brand alignment
- Exceptional attention to detail with proven ability to follow brand guidelines
- Excellent project management skills with ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and meet tight deadlines
- Proactive creative thinker with outstanding communication and organisational abilities
- Self-motivated and resilient, with openness to constructive feedback
- Knowledge and interest in basketball or sports content highly advantageous
