Role Summary
This is a permanent full‐time position commencing Term 3, 2026. Woodlupine PS is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Education Assistant to lead, mentor, coach and model best practice for other Education Assistants. You will support the Manager of Corporate Services, Program Coordinators and Administration team in leading and mentoring the Education Assistant workforce. You will operate collaboratively and build effective team‐based relationships, and bring professionalism, organization and excellent communication skills when working with staff, the school community and external stakeholders.
The successful applicant will work closely with the Administration team to support timetabling processes, organise relief staff, coordinate professional development opportunities and provide operational support across the school. You will contribute to the design and implementation of documented plans, and provide solutions and support to teachers and Education Assistants, promoting positive student behaviour and improved educational outcomes in the classroom. You will also perform tasks requiring discretion in problem solving, decision making and selecting appropriate methods and processes to achieve outcomes.

Eligibility
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
* Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
* Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
Qualifications and Selection Criteria
* Demonstrated considerable knowledge and understanding of the delivery of education programmes and/or behaviour management plans, and ability to identify problems and assist teachers and other Education Assistants in developing strategies and solutions.
* Demonstrated well‐developed oral communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to lead, mentor, coach, induct and train other Education Assistants and professional teams, including providing advice and evaluating education programmes.
* Demonstrated well‐developed written communication skills, including report writing, and the ability to coordinate, collect and present student data at a whole‐school community level in a meaningful way.
* Demonstrated well‐developed organisational skills, including the ability to coordinate staff rosters and relief to assist in the delivery of effective education programmes.
