About This Role
As an Aboriginal Home Health Care Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering care that respects culture and connection. You will work closely with clients to provide personalized support, helping them maintain their independence and dignity.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Personal Care Support: Assist clients with daily tasks such as showering, dressing, feeding, toileting, and medication management
* Social Support: Accompany clients to appointments, shopping trips, and community events, providing companionship and emotional support
* Domestic Support: Assist with household tasks, including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and other errands
We're Looking for Someone Who is:
* Compassionate and Respectful: Demonstrates empathy and understanding towards clients and their cultural backgrounds
* Reliable and Independent: Able to work autonomously, manage time effectively, and maintain confidentiality
* Able to Work Safely: Possesses a valid Australian driver's licence and has access to a reliable vehicle
* Experienced in Aged Care: Has at least 3 months' experience working in aged care, preferably in a paid setting
* Strong Cultural Awareness: Possesses a deep understanding of Aboriginal cultures and histories, and is committed to delivering culturally safe care
