Financial Crime Risk Manager Role
Macquarie's Financial Crime Risk Management Group is responsible for leading the Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews of complex and higher risk client and counterparty relationships and transactions.
As a Senior Manager in this team, you will work collaboratively with stakeholders to advise on financial crime risks, due diligence measures, and mechanisms to mitigate risk exposure.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Leading EDD reviews and developing recommendations for risk mitigation
* Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure effective risk management practices
* Developing and maintaining knowledge of Australian AML/CTF regulations and obligations
* Providing training and guidance to team members on risk management best practices
Requirements:
* Relevant background and experience working in risk advisory, financial crime compliance, and/or pre-transactional due diligence
* Strong understanding of institutional banking products, services, and customer types, including global financial markets, asset finance, and commodities
* Demonstrated experience conducting EDD on customers operating in higher risk industries, including reviews of financial crime risk management systems and controls
* Strong critical thinking and attention to detail, with an investigative mindset and ability to make risk-based assessments and decisions
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage, advise, and influence stakeholders at multiple levels
