North Gold Coast Seahawks Basketball is a non-profit sporting association based in Coomera and Runaway Bay, serving the northern Gold Coast region since 1996. Seahawks Basketball provides opportunities for individuals of all ages and skill levels to participate in the sport through strong junior club competitions, senior social basketball, and elite junior and senior representative programs. Role Description
The Competitions Coordinator is a part-time on-site role based in Coomera, QLD. The primary responsibilities include managing junior and senior basketball competitions, coordinating schedules, overseeing registrations, and ensuring smooth event operations. The role involves liaising with clubs, officials, and participants to maintain high-quality competitive standards. Administrative duties, clear communication with stakeholders, and conflict resolution are also key aspects of the position. The Competitions Coordinator will play a vital part in upholding the organisation's mission, fostering a respectful, inclusive, and professional sporting environment.
Qualifications
* Strong organisational and time-management skills for managing events, schedules, and registrations
* Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with clubs, officials, and participants
* Experience in administration, conflict resolution, and managing logistics
* Knowledge of basketball competitions and rules; experience in sports management is an advantage
* Proficiency in relevant software tools for scheduling and data management
* A passion for community engagement and promoting inclusive sports opportunities
* Relevant qualifications in Sports Management, Event Management, or related fields are preferred
