In line with our ongoing commitment to delivering service excellence, an exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Service and Warranty Officer to join our Service and Warranty Team, servicing the Hervey Bay area.
About the Role
As a Service & Warranty Officer, you'll assess and resolve post-handover warranty claims, investigate defects onsite, carry out minor repairs, and coordinate trades. Strong communication skills are essential to educate homeowners, manage expectations, and close out claims efficiently. Hours: 7:30am-4pm Mon-Thurs, 7:30am-3pm Fri.

Key Responsibilities
* Attend customer homes to assess warranty claims and conduct thorough onsite investigations
* Accurately document findings, including written notes and photographic evidence
* Complete hands-on minor repair and maintenance tasks (handyman-style work)
* Coordinate and engage trades where required
* Liaise directly with homeowners, explaining findings and educating them on building standards and responsibilities
* Manage claims from start to finish, with administrative support provided
* Participate in regular workflow meetings with the Technical Manager to track claim progress
Skills & Experience
* Solid background in residential construction, carpentry, maintenance, or warranty work
* Ability to diagnose and resolve common post-construction issues
* Practical, hands-on skills with a "can-do" attitude
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Organised and proactive approach to managing multiple jobs and priorities
* Strong understanding of building codes and acceptable tolerances
* Comfortable using digital tools (tablet, apps, photos, etc.) for reporting and documentation
* Unencumbered driver's license and own tools (vehicle provided)
* Ability to work autonomously.
