Pre-Admission Nurse Role
As a key member of our perioperative team, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Pre-Admission Nurse to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
* Develop strong relationships with VMOs, anaesthetists, GPs, patients, and families through effective communication via email, phone, or direct contact to collect patient histories and provide education, support, and guidance for pre- and post-operative care.
* Utilize expert telephone and patient triage skills to assess and manage patient needs efficiently.
* Ensure seamless communication of clinical information to relevant team members to facilitate coordinated care.
* Implement nursing processes to guarantee pre-op requirements are met, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.
* Provide education and support to patients in accordance with organisational protocols, promoting patient empowerment and informed decision-making.
* Evaluate patient health history, develop care plans, implement evidence-based practice, and continuously evaluate and improve patient outcomes.
