About the Company
Our client is the largest provider of independent, high quality field research to Australian agriculture. As Industry leaders, they specialise in plant breeding, plant protection and fertilizer evaluation, product development, farming systems and agronomy research in broadacre, horticulture, tree and vine crop production systems.
Responsibilities
•PRE-TRIAL -Fully understand the objectives and requirements of the trial protocol. Review the TMS Task List to ensure it aligns with the protocol.
•IN TRIAL -Apply treatment applications and conduct assessments as per protocol. Review all assessment data prior to leaving the site.nReview completed ANOVA and release to supervisor.
•WEEKLY PLANNING – Commit to formalised weekly planning using the business units chosen method.
•TEAM – Work collaboratively, train unselfishly and communicate respectfully at all times with your team.
•CLIENTS – Commence building relationships with clients.
•GROWERS – Building positive relationships with co- operators.
•INDUSTRY – broaden the network of industry contacts.
Requirements
Education / Experience / Skills
A Degree in Agriculture/Science from a recognised tertiary institution or equivalent industry expertise.
Minimum 2 years in the field conducting R &D across a wide range of crops and environments. Ability to manage 15-25 trials with minimum supervision. Possess an enquiring mind, show initiative, demonstrate a willingness to learn and have pride in your work always. Be competent in prioritising workload and managing time effectively. Be flexible and open to changing situations. Strong and effective communication skills both verbal and written.
