We are hiring a Financial & Commercial Strategy Analyst based in our Braeside Manufacturing Plant.The purpose of this role is to help bridge financial accounting with long-term strategic planning and business performance improvement that include driving a multi-year return on investment (ROI) strategy, develop business cases, and identify new ways of working to enhance the efficiency and profitability of our manufacturing site.This role will report to a Senior Commercial Manager and will be mainly based in Braeside, Victoria with an expectation to work at least 3 days a week in office and 2 days a week from home.Responsibilities include:Develop and support strategic financial planning to align with business growth and operational efficiency goals.Conduct ROI analysis for capital investments, operational enhancements, and commercial opportunities.Build long-term financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making.Partner with senior leadership to optimize resource allocation and improve cost efficiency.Drive the annual budgeting and rolling forecast process, integrating work order variances into quarterly forecasts. Manage month-end reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting.Quantify total cost variance impact versus standard and determine true gross margin (%) at the product level.Support NPD gross margin (%) modelling.Leverage Working Capital Operations (WCO) insights to improve actual production yield variances.Oversee financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.Analyze and manage Slow Moving & Obsolete Stocks (SLOBs), identifying strategies to optimize working capital.Partner with supply chain, operations, and commercial teams to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.Lead change management initiatives to drive efficiency and continuous improvementWhat we offer?A role which partners and works closely with senior leadership translating financial insights into key strategic decision making.Great benefits to support your health and wellbeing, including access to discounted productsMental health support for you and your family through our Sonder assistance programWho are you?Degree qualified chartered accountant with a CA or CPA and with recent commercial finance experience from manufacturing and with coverage of operational finance and cost controlExperience partnering with sales leaders to provide budgeting and forecastingHighly analytical and a strong communicatorFamiliarity with financial systems in SAP, TM1, PowerBI and Excel ModellingAble to display good commercial acumen and business partnering skills to drive financial performanceBlackmores Group is a leading natural health company with proud Australian heritage, with extensive reach across Asia Pacific.
