Opportunity
Are you a detail-oriented Project Engineer ready to take a hands‐on role in a growing business? We are partnering with a respected firm in the construction sector to find a dedicated Project Engineer. In this position, you will support the Senior Leadership Team by assisting in all facets of project delivery and company administration. Because you will be supporting senior management, your exposure to different project elements will be extremely varied and will differ from project to project.
What You Will Be Doing
* Estimating & Tendering: Providing the upfront project scope assessment through estimating and measuring the materials of the project in its initial pricing phase.
* Site Coordination: Coordinating the delivery of materials and equipment, and establishing detailed plans for the coordination of site activities.
* Quality Assurance: Defining, developing, and maintaining project documentation including Quality Assurance / Quality Control.
* Financial Tracking: Tracking project expenditure, processing invoices, and ensuring compliance with budget constraints.
* Stakeholder Management: Acting as a liaison between various stakeholders including project Architects, Contractors, Subcontractors, and clients.
* Technical Oversight: Undertaking site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications.
* Contract Administration: Assisting in the administration of contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders, as well as identifying variations in the agreed scope of works.
* Project Closeout: Assisting the project team in preparing project closeout documentation, including compiling as-built drawings and operation & maintenance manuals.
What We Are Looking For
* Relevant office and industry experience within the commercial construction sector.
* The ability to utilise dedicated computer software to draft and interpret project specifications, drawings, and plans.
* A strong understanding of project budgets and the cost centre constraints in which the scope of works needs to be delivered.
* Excellent communication skills to facilitate project meetings, record outcomes, and resolve conflicts at the earliest opportunity to prevent delays.
* A proactive approach to continuous improvement, willing to evaluate project performance and identify areas for improvement.
