Leading Hand Carpenter & Experienced Carpenter – Southern Highlands
We are a family owned building company located in the Southern Highlands and specialise in custom homes, additions, and renovations looking for both an experienced carpenter and Leading Hand Carpenter.

Experienced Carpenter
Key Responsibilities
* General building and carpentry work
* Developing a good understanding of project timing and the impact of other trades
* Supporting and leading apprentices onsite
* Interpreting and executing site plans/drawings
Skills and experience:
* Ideally 4+ years post apprenticeship experience
* A strong ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and meet tight deadlines
* Reliability and punctuality are essential
* High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
* The ability to work independently as well as within a team
* A strong, motivated work ethic with an exceptional eye for detail
* The ability to read and interpret construction plans, while prioritising tasks efficiently
Requirements
* Cert III Carpentry
* White card
* A valid driver's license with your own work vehicle
* Own all powered and hand tools to complete all carpentry tasks on site
Leading Hand Carpenter
Key Responsibilities
* Lead a small crew onsite and run day to day carpentry works
* Plan and coordinate daily tasks to keep the job moving
* Read and execute site plans/drawings
* Mentor apprentices and maintain site standards (quality + safety)
* Coordinate with other trades and suppliers as required
Skills and experience
* Previous Leading Hand experience or ready to step up into leading hand role.
* Strong ability to run day-to-day site carpentry works with minimal supervision
* Ability to problem-solve and make good decisions under pressure
* High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
* Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
* Strong understanding of sequencing and trade coordination
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead by example.
Qualifications required:
* Ideally 6+ years post apprenticeship (flexible for the right person)
* Cert III carpentry and white card
* Own work vehicle
* Own all powered and hand tools to complete all carpentry tasks on site
