Warren Global Logistics is an international and domestic freight forwarder and logistics provider based at Burleigh heads. We specialise in air and sea imports and exports and are looking for a self‐motivated, enthusiastic and experienced person to join the team.
Import & Export Supervisor
As an Operations Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations including the work of a small operations team. You will oversee all departments – Air Import / Air Export / Sea Export / Sea Import / Courier + Domestic Operations. A key requirement of this position is to lead by example and to be able to problem solve and make decisions under pressure.
The role is full time, Monday – Friday with office hours 08:30 – 17:00.
Duties
* Lead, coach, and manage the customer service, import, and export teams, including onboarding, tasks management (e.g. job registration, Sea Cargo Reporting etc.), performance reviews, and ongoing development.
* Full ownership of all departments and work delegation. We have 3 x full time operators and 1 x full time truck driver to cover Air Import / Air Export / Sea Import / Sea Export and Courier and Domestic Movements.
* Provide leadership and guidance to staff to achieve operational goals.
* Manage a portfolio of customers and oversee end‐to‐end shipment execution, liaising with internal teams and external service providers.
* Participate in customer meetings (QBRs), attend client visits as required, and document actions and outcomes.
* Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence (e.g. Jobs per Head), identifying efficiencies, preventing storage, improving processes, and documenting SOPs.
* Identify, pursue, and secure new clients.
* Managing the daily work to ensure the operations teams success.
Skills and Experience
* Minimum 2-3 years' experience in the freight forwarding industry.
* Substantial experience in the freight forwarding industry, with background in operations, customer service, pricing, business development, or key account management.
* Proven experience leading, developing, and motivating team members.
* Strong attention to detail with a proactive, can‐do attitude.
* Ability to use initiative and a strong commitment to meeting and exceeding client expectations.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Highly developed organisational, planning, and time management skills.
* Demonstrated passion, dedication, and commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
