The Melbourne Arts Precinct Corporation (MAP Co) is the State Government agency responsible for overseeing the delivery of the Melbourne Arts Precinct Transformation and provides governance and an operational structure to one of Melbourne's most iconic cultural spaces: Fed Square. MAP Co leads the Melbourne Arts Precinct Transformation, Australia's largest ever cultural infrastructure project, delivering The Fox: NGV Contemporary and the major rejuvenation of Arts Centre Melbourne (ACM), joined together by 18,000sqm of green public space. It also takes on the management and operations of Fed Square and is responsible for connecting a single continuous art, civic, and cultural precinct stretching from Fed Square through Southbank. Once the transformation is complete, MAP Co will also manage and activate Laak Boorndap, the 18,000 urban garden that will connect the Melbourne Arts Precinct in a seamless and immersive cultural experience. Fed Square is the gateway to the art precinct – and as Melbourne's public square it is the civic, cultural and community heart of the city. It home to four of Victoria's major cultural institutions: ACMI – Australia's Museum of Screen Culture, the Koorie Heritage Trust (KHT), Melbourne Electronic Sound Studio (MESS) and The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia along with an array of restaurants and cafes. Located opposite the iconic Flinders St Station, it is Melbourne's premier meeting place, tourist destination and event venue for thousands of free events every year. About the Role The Senior Manager, ICT is a specialist leadership role responsible for the strategic and operational delivery of digital systems and services across MAP Co. Reporting to the Deputy CEO & Project Director, this position ensures ICT systems remain a critical enabling asset for the organisation's operational viability and future growth. This role provides leadership in ICT strategy development, enterprise architecture, program management, and operational excellence. It oversees contract and supplier management, cybersecurity, compliance, and financial stewardship of ICT investments. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Strategic Planning: Develop and implement ICT strategies aligned with corporate objectives, ensuring continuity of ICT skillsets, sourcing arrangements, and a forward-looking program of work. Enterprise Architecture: Maintain a business-aligned enterprise architecture and roadmap that meets current and future ICT requirements. Business Improvement & Change Facilitation: Identify opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness improvements, secure senior management sponsorship, and lead change initiatives. Program Management: Oversee ICT projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Operations Management: Ensure reliable day-to-day ICT operations, including business continuity, disaster recovery, IT governance, compliance, cybersecurity, and policy development. Management Reporting: Provide KPI reporting, project status updates, and executive briefs as required. Procurement & Contract Management: Manage ICT procurement processes, including RFPs, tenders, and outsourced projects, and maintain strong supplier relationships. Financial Management: Oversee ICT budgets, forecasting, and contribute to annual budgeting cycles. Resource Management: Ensure continuity and capability of internal and external ICT resources to deliver required outcomes. Compliance & Governance: Adhere to legislative requirements, corporate governance, and MAP Co policies. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and industry peers. Key Selection Criteria Proven leadership and accountability in ICT management. Strategic Experience: Proven ability to develop and execute ICT strategies aligned with business objectives; experience implementing technology solutions that enhance operational effectiveness and customer experience. Operational Experience: Extensive experience managing IT infrastructure, networks, servers, cloud services, and cybersecurity protocols; strong vendor and budget management skills. Stakeholder Management: Ability to build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders; communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences; foster collaboration and innovation. Strong technical and analytical capability. Expertise in project and change management. People management experience and skills with a focus on team development. Knowledge of risk management, and regulatory compliance. Financial management and budgeting experience. Desired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
