Trainer and Assessor – Disability Services
St. Michaels Training (RTO code: 60067) is a Tasmanian not‑for‑profit RTO that has delivered contextualised and supportive training for people with a disability and for those working in the disability sector since 2003.
Qualifications to be Delivered
* CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability)
* CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability Support
* Diploma of Leadership in Disability Services
Key Duties
* Deliver face‑to‑face training sessions in both classroom and workplace settings
* Conduct fair, valid, consistent, and flexible assessments in accordance with RTO and ASQA requirements
* Provide support and coaching to a diverse range of learners
* Participate in validation and moderation activities
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Monitor learner progress and implement strategies to support retention and completion
Required Skills and Experience
* Experience in the disability sector
* Hold Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or the ability to obtain it (TAE40122)
* Qualification in the field of delivery
* Passion and commitment for high‑quality education and training
* Ability to work independently and organise time efficiently
Soft Skills
* Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
* Strong team collaboration and problem‑solving abilities
* High level of reliability and professionalism
* Intermediate computer skills with the Microsoft suite
* Current driver's licence
* Current national police check
* Current Working with Vulnerable People registration
Successful candidates will be required to clear background checks including National Police and pre‑employment medical checks, an NDIS Workers Screening Check and Working with Vulnerable People Check.
