Role
As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an accomplished General Manager to lead our Sydney operation. This role will be instrumental in driving operational performance, strengthening client relationships and supporting the strategic expansion of our business in the NSW market.
The role would best suit applicants with previous General Manager or Construction Management experience with a track record in complex commercial and major loss works.
You’ll lead high quality, technically challenging reinstatement works, build strong relationships with major insurers, and drive an already high-performing team that thrives on delivering exceptional outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Lead day-to-day operations to ensure an efficient end-to-end claims and project delivery process
* Recruit, develop and mentor staff, promoting a high-performance, collaborative culture
* Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, loss adjusters and brokers
* Oversee project management and estimating teams ensuring compliance with client KPI's, financial metrics, safety regulations and quality standards
* Develop and implement strategies to enhance growth with both new and existing clients
* Assist in preparing yearly budgets and preparing monthly reports to present to the board
* CRM compliance to ensure accurate reporting
* Cost management / cost reduction initiatives
* Overseeing sub-contractor onboarding and compliance to sub-contractor code of conduct
Key Selection Criteria
* Previous experience in General Manager or Construction Management role within the insurance industry
* Proven experience in major and complex loss claims
* Sound understanding of the insurance market, contracting, & KPI management
* Ability to attract self appointments
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
