About the Job: The Field Engineering Advisor provides technical expertise to optimise the performance and cost efficiency of Yokohama OTR products across customer operations. Acting as a trusted consultant, the role supports customers and internal teams through technical guidance, performance analysis, and product application expertise. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, R&D, and Marketing, the role contributes to continuous improvement, drives innovation, and supports strategic customer growth. The position also plays a key role in building field engineering capability through training, knowledge sharing, and data-driven insights. Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will: Optimize on site "Cost of Ownership" of Yokohama OTR products - being a consultant - informing and educating internal and external customers in the application of products. Work with the R&D organisation to improve customer service and product development - aiming to shorten the cycle of innovation - bringing new technology to release as soon as possible. Concentrate technical efforts on strategic customer growth to enable Yokohama OTR to become a leading supplier to the OTR industry. Coordinate and develop local sales organizations Field Engineering capabilities, transferring product knowledge and information to local business teams. Create factual performance data through regular site surveys, weight, and temperature studies, TKPH/WCF reviews and inspection of all tires removed from service. Make competitor comparative performance studies. Demonstrate OTR product performance superiority. Continually update the technical data for each assigned mine through a designated report. Communicate findings to Development, Sales, and Marketing. Establish and control performance guarantees by becoming the main contact source for the mines on technical matters. Standardize, develop, and coordinate local Sales Organisations field engineering activities. Train all mine personnel on tire applications and maintenance. Provide technical training to Customer Service Managers and their associates on tire adjustment conditions to align all associates throughout the region. Work in cross-functional team with all other involved OTR functions. Key Requirements: You’ll stand out if you bring: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering. Engineering Diploma in mechanical or automotive engineering or another related field preferred. Basic computer knowledge (Lotus Notes, MS Office, Internet) Good communication skills Customer Oriented Good analytical skills Able to work independently and in a team Proactive and stress resistant Regular travel within assigned territory.
