**Salary package**:$80,914 - $101,560 per annum plus 17% superannuation
**Term**: Full-time, Continuing (contingent funded), funded until 5 May 2027
**The Position**
This role is central to an ambitious team focused on innovative research in the utilization of Germanium (Ge) and Ge alloys for mid-infrared photodetectors, and the creation of novel carbon structures under high pressure. It's a multifaceted position that combines experimental oversight with analytical strength and strong communication skills.
**The Person**
We are looking for a qualified physicist with experience in Group 14 materials synthesis and complex characterisation using spectroscopy and electron microscopy techniques. We are looking for a strong team member with excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to quickly develop productive, professional relationships with colleagues and clients. Highly developed organisational skills and effective self-management are key.
