Bis are now seeking applications for a highly driven and motivated Inventory Controller to join our team based out of our Tomago Office. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Inventory Controller is responsible for the physical integrity of Bis Underground warehousing and distribution of mining equipment parts across all sites encompassing systems, quality, accuracy, and stock preservation, achieved through systems advancement and compliance.
This position is required to complete some travel as part of the role, ensuring physical inventory integrity is achieved through conducting routine customer site and Bis longwall container stocktakes, along with the coordination and reconciliation of Bis warehouse cycle counts and periodic stocktakes. You will also be required to ensure that all warehouse systems and safety efficiencies are achieved through technology and process enhancement.
Requirements of the Role:
1. Coordinate national cycle count register process and compliance
2. Maintain inventory compliance
3. Ensure physical inventory integrity
4. Ensure all UCS warehousing practices are aligned and in compliance
5. Perform routine off-site container stocktakes, reconciliation and replenishment
6. Routine documentation control audits to ensure standards are maintained
7. Coordinate internal warehouse stocktakes as required
8. Liaising with a variety of suppliers across different industries
9. Communicate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
To succeed in this role, you must:
10. Previous experience in the same or similar role
11. Sound knowledge and understanding of inventory control and risk
12. Previous experience with CMMS (Computerised maintenance management systems)
13. High level of initiative and problem-solving skills
14. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads
15. Intermediate/Advanced computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite)
16. Experience using JDEdwards, invoicing, and purchasing experience (highly desirable)
17. Underground mining machinery knowledge (advantage)
