Do work that matters The Category Manager Corporate Services position sits within the Group Procurement team and is responsible for multiple categories incorporating a broad range of goods and services such as Stationery, Insurance, Couriers and Mailroom, Records Management, Subscriptions and Facilities Management. The role requires interfacing with stakeholders groups across multiple business units within the Bank as well as suppliers to secure value for money outcomes for the Bank. The role reports to Executive Manager, Group Services. On any given day you will Identify, develop, and manage key business partnerships to enable delivery against the business strategies and priorities related to customer obsession, technology stability & operational excellence, trust & team spirit, profitable growth and banking services Lead the total commercial management of a portfolio of categories and strategic suppliers to support associated business priorities and strategic initiatives. Involved in sourcing strategies and activities within the nominated portfolio. Perform spend analytics using commercial and quantitative data to manage category performance. Contribute to the management of all procurement intelligence, from relevant sources including corporate expenditure, supplier information and analysis, and associated industry data Ensure category strategies and activities align with CBA’s Supplier Lifecycle Procedure. Develop and implement effective Supplier Relationship Management frameworks with critical suppliers. Ensure business stakeholders have a full and comprehensive understanding of category risks, and all relevant risk documentation and processes have been completed. Liaise with appropriate risk SMEs to develop and implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies, including the implementation of appropriate processes and governance to address all aspects of risk within the relevant categories. Your experience looks like Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Procurement and / or Supply Chain Management roles within financial services. A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent is highly desirable. Demonstrated experience in managing end-to-end complex procurement categories which include developing, influencing and implementing category strategies; capturing business requirements, spend analytics, development and execution of RFX documents, commercial negotiations and driving supplier selection. Ability to deliver and thrive in a highly complex, ambiguous and a large team environment. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and ability to be persuasive and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels within the organization. High degree of problem solving and decision-making ability. Strong commercial acumen and vision to align with strategic objectives. Experience with e-procurement processes and systems highly regarded.
