About The Role

Reporting to the Education Manager Horticulture, this role is responsible for planning, delivering and assessing vocational education programs across a range of learning environments. You will support students throughout the learning lifecycle, contribute to curriculum development, and ensure training delivery meets regulatory, quality and compliance requirements. This role suits an industry professional who is passionate about sharing their expertise and supporting learner success.

What You'll Do
* Plan, deliver and assess vocational education and training aligned to accredited horticulture programs
* Create inclusive, safe and engaging learning environments that support diverse learners
* Support student engagement, progress and wellbeing, including learning plans where required
* Develop and maintain high‐quality teaching, assessment and learning resources
* Maintain accurate training, assessment and compliance documentation
* Participate in validation, moderation and continuous improvement activities
* Maintain vocational and teaching currency and engage with industry as required
* Contribute to industry engagement and stakeholder relationships to strengthen program relevance
EssentialWhat You'll Bring
* Relevant vocational qualifications and current industry experience in horticulture
* Demonstrated commitment to learner‐centred teaching practices
* Sound understanding of VET quality, compliance and regulatory requirements
* Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skill
Desirable
* Experience teaching or assessing in a VET environment
* Experience working with diverse learner cohorts
* Knowledge of current issues and trends in vocational education and training
Qualifications & Mandatory Checks

Appointment to this position is subject to meeting the qualification requirements (where applicable) and the successful completion of all mandatory employment checks.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the qualification requirements under the Victorian TAFE Teaching Staff Agreement and relevant regulatory standards.

This Includes
* Relevant vocational qualifications and current industry experience in horticulture, and
* One of the following:
o Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116), or
o A Diploma or higher qualification in Adult Education or Vocational Education and Training

Applicants who hold secondary teaching qualifications with relevant VET skill sets are also encouraged to apply.

Mandatory Checks

Appointment to this position is subject to the successful completion of all mandatory employment checks.

You Must Hold, Or Be Eligible To Obtain
* A valid Victorian Working with Children Check (Employee)
* A National Police Check
