This includes catechesis, evangelization, social action, community building, spirituality, liturgy, guidance, enablement, and advocacy. Parish Family 45 comprises Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, St. Joseph Catholic Church, and the Proto-Cathedral of St. James the Greater.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with parish leadership, staff, and consultative bodies to realize the mission and vision of the parish family.Develop and oversee programs for junior and senior high youth that promote spiritual growth, including retreats, religious education, socials, recreation, athletic activities, outreach, youth liturgies, and community service.Implement faith formation programs for youth, recruiting and supervising catechists and personnel, including those involved in Confirmation preparation. Collaborate with Catholic schools for religious education initiatives.Create programs for young adults (18-35) to foster spiritual growth, including retreats, education, socials, recreation, outreach, and liturgical celebrations. Engage and involve young adults actively in parish life.Coordinate evangelization outreach efforts targeted at youth and young adults.Plan and execute annual summer mission trips, supporting fundraising, team-building, logistics, and participant growth in faith and social justice understanding.Serve as liaison to service organizations and oversee all travel logistics for mission trips.Manage the youth and young adult program budget as delegated.Participate in staff meetings, planning, and professional development activities, including software proficiency and ongoing ministry education.Perform additional duties as assigned.QualificationsDeep understanding of Catholic Doctrine, familiar with Catechism of the Catholic Church, Vatican II, and related documents.Experience working with youth, maintaining appropriate boundaries, and at least 21 years old.Formal training in theology or systematic catechesis; minimum three years in youth ministry; preferred advanced degrees in related fields.Active, practicing Catholic in good standing.Skills & AbilitiesPassionate about engaging youth and young adults with the love of Christ.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and public speaking skills.Ability to lead and motivate volunteers and teams.Adaptable, organized, and self-motivated, with flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends.Proficient with multimedia and printing materials; reliable transportation; bilingual skills a plus.Salary is determined based on internal and market considerations, applicant’s experience, degrees, and certifications.Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, disability, pension, 403(b), HSA, FSA, and generous leave policies.Additional DetailsSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: OtherIndustry: Religious Institutions
