About Our School

Good Samaritan Catholic College, located in Bli Bli on the Sunshine Coast, is a Prep to Year 12 institution that opened in 2019.

The College now accommodates approximately 1,500 students.

The first cohort of seniors graduated in 2024.

As part of BCE, our co-educational College strives to be a welcoming and supportive community that respects ourselves, each other, and the environment.

- Salary: $86,601.00 - $124,725 + super (commensurate with experience)

About The Opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for:

- Creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learner-centred, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies and practices
- Collaboratively developing and implementing quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy; evaluating their effectiveness; assessing and reporting student progress and learning outcomes to students, parents and the community
- Working collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers and other staff to contribute to the professional life of the school and foster a positive school culture
- Proactively engaging with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes
- Establishing positive relationships in the pastoral care of students and supporting their spiritual and moral development
- Ensuring that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching

About You

To be successful you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

- Creating a supportive, learner-focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum
- Expertise in designing and delivering effective curriculum programs in line with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
- Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to enrich learning experiences and achieve the best educational outcomes
- A passion to support students' spiritual and moral development
- For this position you are required to be Catholic

Eligibility And Safeguarding Requirements

- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers
