Our soon‐to‐open restaurant in the Darwin Waterfront combines the eclectic and vibrant flavours of Southeast Asia with a fresh location. A destination for those with a curious appetite and a desire for culinary adventure, it's a place where ideas are hatched and adventures begun.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee restaurant operations as we open doors and establish our reputation. You'll ensure we operate smoothly, profitably, and to a high standard every day. You'll lead our teams, support service delivery, and ensure our people, systems, and menus keep the business performing at its best.
What you'll be responsible for
* Oversee front‐of‐house performance and guest experience, setting service standards
* Work with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations
* Oversee recruitment, induction, training, rosters, and performance development
* Maintain presentation, grooming, and service culture across the venue
* Oversee private dining, catering, and group bookings
* Work with the kitchenand owners on menus, pricing, and service style
* Support the delivery of events and functions on‐site
* Oversee cash handling, POS systems, and daily financial reporting
* Prepare sales reports, track performance, and manage budgets in liaison with finance
* Manage stock control, stocktakes, and equipment
* Support marketing activity and identify opportunities to grow revenue and enhance the guest experience
What We're Looking For
* 2–3 years' experience as a Restaurant Manager in a high‐end environment
* Experience opening a new restaurant (preferred)
* Strong understanding of financial management, planning and cost control
* Strong knowledge of Asian cuisine, culture and service standards
* Confident with food and wine pairing
* Capable leader with experience supporting and guiding teams end‐to‐end
* Organised, calm, personable and professional
* Hands‐on approach, comfortable stepping onto the floor when required
* Flexible, adaptable, and able to support a growing business
* Unrestricted working rights in Australia (no sponsorship required)
