About the Role
Spectrum Tuition St Albans is looking for motivated and high-achieving university students who want to make a lasting difference in education to start in January 2026.
As a tutor, you'll guide small groups of students in English and Mathematics (Prep–Year 12) using our structured curriculum. You'll help students rebuild confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and take pride in their learning — all while developing your own teaching and leadership abilities.
This is a long-term opportunity for individuals who want more than just a casual job — it's a chance to grow personally and professionally in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging small-group lessons following our structured curriculum
* Mark student work and provide constructive, encouraging feedback
* Build positive, respectful relationships with students and families
* Support each learner's confidence, motivation, and steady progress
* Attend training sessions and implement feedback from mentors
* Maintain consistency, professionalism, and reliability
About You
You're not here to clock in and clock out. You're here because you remember what it felt like to not get it — and what it meant when someone helped you finally see it.
You're looking for a role that grows with you, not just a short-term job.
Therefore, we're looking for tutors who:
* Are current university students with strong academic results (high ATAR or equivalent)
* Are passionate about education and mentoring young learners
* Want to develop long-term skills in communication, leadership, and teaching
* Can confidently teach both English and Mathematics
* Are organised, punctual, and able to follow structured systems
* Are calm, patient, and encouraging when students face challenges
* Can commit to Saturday classes during the school term
* Hold (or can obtain) a valid Working With Children Check (Employee or Volunteer)
Why Join Spectrum Tuition St Albans
* All materials provided: Full lesson plans and booklets supplied
* Training and mentoring: Learn before you teach and continue developing through regular coaching
* Career growth: Pathways into senior tutor and campus leadership roles
* Supportive culture: Be part of a team that values care, clarity, and consistency
* Meaningful work: See your students grow in confidence — and know you helped make it happen
