Kilmore District Health (KDH) is based in the Mitchell Shire and is an easy commute from metropolitan Melbourne. We provides a variety of health and aged care services. Inpatient and outpatient services are offered to the community of Kilmore and district including maternity, medical, surgical, and subacute care. The hospital has 30 Acute beds, 2 Operating suites, a four-bay Urgent Care Centre and a District Nursing Service. Aged Care includes a 30 Bed High Care facility and a 30 Bed Low Care Facility.
Your consultant shifts are currently 24 hours and include public maternity outpatients, pregnancy assessments and cover for delivery suite. A 24 hours theatre service is available for emergency caesarian sections.
A variety of shifts are available and we may be able to accommodate part days, or a regular shift commitment.
Through the oncall roster, you may be sharing call duties with a GP obstetrician, GP Obstetric trainee or O&G; registrar who will take first on call duties, but you must be able and prepared to undertake the shift as the primary obstetrician on call backed with an experienced midwifery team and non-medical assistant in theatre.
If on first call you will need to be located within close proximity to the hospital during the shift and accommodation will be provided onsite or in the local area if required.
This role will suit clinicians wishing to experience rural hospital settings within an easy commute from Melbourne.
Credentialing requirements are as outlined in Victorian and Hospital credentialing policies.
