This role plays a key part in maintaining high-quality library resources and creating a welcoming, dynamic environment that encourages students and staff to engage with our programs and spaces. Graduating and early career Library Technicians are encouraged to apply.
This is an ongoing part-time role, working three days per week on the following roster: Monday: 8:00am – 4:00pm, Tuesday: 10:00am – 6:00pm, Wednesday: 10:00am – 6:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
* Administering and managing the Library Management System and its online interface
* Cataloguing print and digital collections
* Assisting with management of collections including tagging, covering, repairing, shelving, stocktake and weeding
* Circulation Desk duties including attending to loans, reservations, records and queries
* Preparation of physical and virtual displays
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
* High attention to detail and ability to process significant volumes of work
* Readiness to learn new skills and be mentored
* A valid employee working with children check.
