Paralegal - Canberra Opportunity
We are seeking a paralegal to join our team in Canberra for a 12-month contract position on a part-time basis, 3-days per week.

* Assist solicitors in managing legal practices and contribute to the effective functioning of the legal team.
* Provide administrative support functions including preparing legal documentation, drafting correspondence, court filing, liaising with witnesses, experts, court and/or tribunal staff and processing invoices for professional services.
* Coordinate meetings and travel arrangements.
* Process accounts payable invoices, monthly billings and MasterCard reconciliations.
* Assist with general office administration.
The successful applicant will have:
* Demonstrated experience in an administrative or paralegal position in a legal environment.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* Fast and accurate typing skills including digital dictation typing.
* Experience drafting and formatting legal documentation.
* The ability to balance multiple priorities, meet deadlines and show attention to detail.
* Intermediate level of competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
* Experience in preparing and maintaining legal files.
