Design & Engineering
CPP hosts the largest in-house design and engineering team in Australia, with over 170 specialists across Electrical Primary and Secondary, Civil, Structural, and SCADA disciplines. We provide end-to-end engineering solutions for high-voltage infrastructure, including nationally significant transmission projects, HV substations, wind farms and battery storage systems that drive Australia's renewable energy transition.
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an Electrical Design Drafter to join our Primary Engineering Team in our Adelaide head office. You will work on innovative high-voltage infrastructure projects for the National Electricity Grid including substations, grid connections, and battery storage. Supporting the design and construction of our projects while delivering high-quality results to meet standards and project deadlines.
Responsibilities
Undertake, manage, and produce high-quality design artefacts, technical documentation, and other work tasks to agreed deadlines, standards, and in accordance with the project plans.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
The ability to interpret and implement design information provided by Primary Design Engineers, Civil Design Engineers, and Design Managers
Previous experience producing CAD drawings in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD for compliance with client requirements and standards, ensuring completeness prior to issuing for manufacturing/construction
Experience with 3D design highly regarded but not essential
Essential: Previous experience in substation design
Tertiary studies highly regarded
