Strategic Planner – Port Macquarie Hastings Council
Join this role to influence strategic planning across the Port Macquarie Hastings area. The position offers the opportunity to provide direct input to council strategies and see tangible results.
About the Opportunity
To fulfil the duties you will need experience carrying out complex strategic planning in accordance with current legislation and regulations, strong project-management skills, and a proven track record of preparing and exhibiting planning proposals, land-use strategies, structure plans and master/precinct plans.
Key Responsibilities
Keep abreast of legislation changes and advise planning staff and management of implications.
Prepare and progress planning proposals in accordance with legislation, policy and guidelines.
Produce land-use plans and strategies for the Port Macquarie Hastings LGA.
Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders and agencies.
Research and analyse data to inform evidence-based planning policy.
Remuneration and Benefits
Employment type: Full Time – 35 hours per week
Salary (exclusive of super): $97,130 – $108,719 depending on skills and experience
