Graduate Mechanical Engineer role supporting Cement Australia's decarbonisation projects, offering hands-on experience and structured development in a leading sustainable construction materials company.
Your role
Responsibilities
* Supporting day-to-day maintenance operations and addressing real engineering challenges.
* Investigating problems through root cause analysis and applying practical solutions.
* Monitoring equipment performance and identifying areas for improvement.
* Using data to inform decision-making and drive reliability across the plant.
* Contributing to planning and delivering maintenance activities, shutdowns, and capital projects.
* Participating in reliability and asset improvement projects to shape future operations.
* Building leadership skills with opportunities to supervise small teams.
* Working as part of a team delivering Cement Australia's Decarbonisation projects, including the $106 million Railton Operations Decarbonisation Project.
* Gaining experience across two integrated cement plants, starting in Railton (TAS) and moving to Gladstone (QLD) in the second year.
About you
Qualifications
* Completed or be near completion of a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering.
* A collaborative approach and ability to build strong working relationships.
* Strong problem-solving skills and an aptitude for data analysis.
* Resilience, proactivity, and willingness to step outside their comfort zone.
* Motivation to grow, learn, and take on new challenges.
* Openness to regular interstate travel and relocation for each rotation (sites include Gladstone, QLD and Railton, TAS).
