Overview
We’re seeking a qualified Electrician to join our Mackay depot, where you’ll play a key role in maintaining schools, public buildings, and essential facilities. You’ll ensure electrical systems remain protected and functional, assist with emergency response efforts, and contribute to community projects. You’ll also work with our government partners to expand QBuild’s services across the region.

Qualifications
- Valid Electrical Licence – if you’re not licensed, this role isn’t for you
- A commitment to safety and compliance with electrical regulations
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- A willingness to use digital tools (yes, even tradies need to check emails!)
- A passion for mentoring apprentices and passing on your skills

The Department of Housing and Public Works delivers a range of housing, building and procurement services.
