About the opportunity
Responsible for sales in the Greater Sydney area, including Western NSW and the South Coast. Deliver agreed sales targets and business goals through structured, tailored contact plans, quickly establishing and improving relationships with new and existing customers.
Autonomous role offering the chance to manage your own customer accounts with supportive management, realistic targets, and a culture that recognises effort and rewards achievement.
Duties and responsibilities
- Build relationships and identify sales opportunities.
- Generate and convert new leads.
- Build brand loyalty and maximise revenues.
- Develop and maintain a structured customer contact plan within allocated accounts in line with budget targets.
- Maintain and enhance positive working relationships with assigned customers.
- Identify and follow up on all new business, product and project opportunities within the existing customer base.
- Resolve customer issues, disputes and complaints both onsite and offsite promptly and professionally.
- Enrol relevant internal staff and ensure accountabilities are clearly defined to resolve issues satisfactorily.
- Proactively promote the full product and service range within the territory to maximise opportunities.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date customer database.
- Stay informed of market changes, trends, opportunities, risks and competitive activity within the territory.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all relevant internal staff that impact the customer experience.
About You
- Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally within the Concrete / Construction / Building Materials sector.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport.
- Ability to create solutions that add value for customers.
- Strong commercial skills.
- Foster a customer-focused environment delivering exceptional service.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals.
- Work effectively amid ambiguity, shifting priorities and rapid change, while developing skills and capabilities.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP and other required systems.
- Experience in dispute resolution and claims management.
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Well-developed understanding of effective communication and relationship building both externally and internally.
