Key responsibilities include overseeing clinical care and staff management, administering medications, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance with accreditation and legislative requirements. You will work closely with the Facility Manager and other key personnel to maintain our standards of excellence.The position includes, but is not limited to:Asupervisory and active role in all aspects of the delivery of care to the Resident, within the facilityResponsibility for the supervision and administrations of medications to Residents within the facility, and accurate documentation associated with this process.Participation in and supervision of all documentation within the facility is an essential part of the role, as well as the management of the regular hand over details and report to on-coming staff.Ensuring the facility is managed according to accreditation and legislative requirements.Incident management (documentation and follow-up)Dealing with residents / representatives, collaboratively developing solutions, documenting, monitoring and reporting follow-upCreate and maintain a learning environment and ensure that staff maintain their required skills and education.Documenting interactions and action required by health providers and the teamEssential skills and attributes (selection criteria):Registered Nurse with current National Practicing RegistrationSuccessful experience of working for a minimum of 5 years in aged care/gerontologyA demonstrable working knowledge of the Aged Care Act and accreditation requirementsA high level of interpersonal communication skills, including active listeningExperience leading and mentoring multidisciplinary teamsDemonstrated team building skillsAbility to build rapport, negotiate and maintain effective relations with key stakeholdersAbility to manage conflicting time pressures and priorities appropriately, and balance multiple demands.Ability to problem-solve complex issuesBenefits & CultureWe value our team and the wonderful work they do.
