Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Support Worker located in Sunshine Coast, QLD. The Support Worker will provide high-quality assistance to individuals with disabilities, focusing on personalized care, promoting independence, and enhancing daily living experiences. Responsibilities include offering direct support with daily activities, facilitating communication, maintaining a safe environment, ensuring safeguarding standards, and fostering positive relationships. The Support Worker will also support clients in community participation and assist in achieving their personal goals while maintaining dignity and respect.
Qualifications
* Experience as a Support Worker and knowledge of safeguarding practices
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships and understand client needs
* Ability to provide technical support and problem-solving skills in care-related contexts
* Compassion, patience, and a commitment to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities
* Relevant certifications in disability services, aged care, or community services
* First Aid and CPR certification, or a willingness to obtain them
* Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation are preferred
* A National Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain) are required
