We are seeking to fill our Director, Creative role in our Strategic Intelligence, Liaison and Coordination Branch.
As Director, Creative you play an important role in shaping how we engage and present ourselves externally.
You will provide a leadership role to guide ONI on our use of visual communications to deliver analytical insights to ministers and other senior customers, as well as how we represent ourselves through our brand and other published material.
Leading a small team of creative professionals, you will work with leaders across ONI to drive the use of graphically enriched analysis whilst ensuring all visual content aligns with our brand identity and strategic goals.
This role provides you with an opportunity to build your professional network and gain diverse experiences. We intend to establish a merit pool from this process to fill similar future vacancies within ONI.

We are looking for leaders who can work collegially with a wide range of parties so ONI can produce tested and polished outputs that engage our customers and stakeholders. Individuals will need to possess people management experience to support, foster and direct members of their team whilst negotiating with others on priorities and deadlines.
Ideal candidates need to thrive in dynamic settings, demonstrating their excellent problem-solving and analytical skills along with a keen eye for detail. They would also have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, navigating diverse stakeholder groups and fostering collaboration and innovation.

* A proven ability to lead a team of creative professionals to deliver high-quality outputs, including under time pressure
* A strong understanding of creative design, brand identity management, visual communications, art direction, data visualisation and/or graphic design
* Strong negotiation, liaison and communication skills, with the ability to work with and influence colleagues, senior organisational leaders and external partners to ensure the prioritised delivery of activities and outcomes
* A proven ability to foster and shape a positive team culture and to support team members’ professional development and growth
* A demonstrated record of integrity, accountability and support for organisational diversity and inclusion

* Relevant design or creative professional qualifications and/or experience
