Senior Manager, Revenue Management & Optimisation
Lead Freight's revenue management and optimisation strategy for Qantas and Jetstar's International and Domestic networks as well as the dedicated freighter network, maximizing revenue and route profitability while overseeing demand, pricing, capacity management and strategic airline partnerships.
Responsibilities
* Lead Freight's revenue management and optimisation strategy across Qantas and Jetstar's International and Domestic networks and the dedicated freighter network.
* Oversee demand, pricing, capacity management, and strategic airline partnerships, driving system and process efficiencies across the network.
* Manage strategic airline partnerships and interline agreements.
* Set the strategic direction to ensure consistency with Freight's vision and revenue growth objectives.
* Lead a diverse team of specialist revenue management resources; coach and mentor the team, and manage performance, development and succession planning.
Qualifications
* 10+ years' experience in commercial, finance, or related fields.
* Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Engineering, Science, Management, or related; Master's in Management or related preferred.
* 6+ years' experience in airline revenue management, with progressive seniority.
* Proven ability to lead and contribute to high‐performing teams.
* Extensive knowledge of revenue management theory, practice, and systems.
* Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on collaboration, cooperation, and communication.
* Working knowledge of statistics and forecasting; interest in optimisation, economic game theory, elasticity and consumer behaviour.
* Excellent understanding of airline route structures and the impact of schedules on revenue.
* Advanced MS Office skills; familiarity with quantitative analysis software (e.g., R, SAS).
* Ability to make independent judgments, decisions and take calculated risks.
* Demonstrated analytical and problem‐solving skills; able to interpret data, extract insights and deliver measurable outcomes.
* Self‐motivated, adaptable to fast‐paced environments and committed to continuous improvement.
* Resilient to change and able to manage complexity and ambiguity.
