Job Description
Electrician – Townsville QLD Kogan People Solutions, recruiters, are partnering with a well-established and successful business that specialises in supplying, installing, and maintaining a wide range of residential and commercial lift solutions. The company delivers reliable solutions for customers across North Queensland, the Pacific Islands, and the Northern Territory. With a strong focus on improving mobility and accessibility in both residential and small commercial premises, they provide comprehensive servicing and maintenance, including on-site consultations.
Safety, integrity, and tailored solutions are at the heart of their operations, and as a registered NDIS provider, their work empowers independence and accessibility in homes, businesses, and community spaces. They are now seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to join their team and contribute to delivering dependable mobility solutions.
* Salary: Offered in range of $75k to $85k plus superannuation per annum.
* Location (base): Townsville QLD
* Tenure: Full-time and ongoing.
The duties and responsibilities of the position will include:
* Install, test and commission electrical systems and equipment, including switchboards, control panels, power circuits, lighting, and associated wiring in accordance with relevant regulations and standards.
* Perform preventative maintenance, servicing and inspections to ensure electrical systems operate safely, efficiently and in compliance with regulations.
* Diagnose and repair electrical faults across motors, control circuits and associated equipment.
* Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and electrical safety standards, completing risk assessments, and always maintaining safe work practices.
* Complete all required documentation and reporting, including service reports, compliance certificates and job records, while maintaining professional communication with clients and team members.
To be considered for this role you should be able to positively address the following attributes:
* Qualified to Cert IV or agreed equivalent and all necessary cards and certificates.
* At least 1 or more years' relevant trade experience since you gained your qualifications.
* Previous experience in an industrial electrician role will be considered favourably.
* Must hold an appropriate electrical license or be eligible to obtain.
* Possess a clear Driver's License.
* Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and travel regionally as required.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Attention to detail, good attitude, and time management.
* Strong electrical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
* Solid industry references.
* Keen to be employed on a full-time salaried basis (so this role is not suitable for sub-contractors)
