ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is adding a Licenced Customs Broker to their Melbourne office. The position is a solo broker in Melbourne as part of a national team reporting to the Sydney-based Manager. Handling the clearance process from end to end, this role also requires providing mentoring and support to the Melbourne operational team.
DUTIES
- Process and lodge a high volume of files
- Ability to be hands on with compiling and classification
- Provide mentoring and Customs support to the operational team
- Identify ACS, AQIS and ATO duties and tax initiatives to benefit the customers
- Resolve specific and technical queries for both clients and fellow brokers
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years as a licenced Customs Broker preferred
- Previous experience working autonomously
- AEP accreditation is advantageous
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with CW1 and/or Expedient and paperless preferred
