We are seeking experienced project delivery leaders to take on client-side management of high-priority, complex reconstruction projects across NSW. About the role
As a Senior Project Manager in our Reconstruction Delivery team, you will own the end-to-end delivery of multiple infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, on budget, and to high quality standards. Working on the client side, you will coordinate across local councils, contractors, NSW government agencies and community groups to turn recovery plans into reality. Your remit will span project initiation through to handover and evaluation, with a strong focus on governance, risk management and results.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Manage end-to-end project planning, development, and implementation across multiple high-value initiatives.
* Develop project plans, manage budgets and resources, and monitor delivery against time, cost, and quality benchmarks.
* Establish and maintain productive stakeholder relationships through effective communication and negotiation.
* Monitor risks, benefits realisation, and project quality to ensure successful outcomes and continuous improvement.
* Lead project teams with a strong focus on governance, compliance, and milestone achievement.
* Provide technical and strategic advice and evidence-based recommendations to inform decisions and resolve emerging issues.

About You
You are a strategic thinker and hands-on leader with a strong record of delivering complex projects in challenging, fast-paced environments. You take initiative and are comfortable managing multiple moving parts simultaneously. Your background likely includes civil infrastructure or construction project management, and possibly program management, giving you insight into coordinating interdependent projects and navigating technical challenges.
* Proven experience managing multiple projects within a complex and fast-paced environment. Experience in disaster recovery or government programs is valued.
* Skilled in project and program management, with the ability to implement structured methodologies yet remain adaptable to changing needs.
* Confident in engaging diverse stakeholders and facilitating collaboration across teams.
* Open to learning, process improvement, and committed to delivering with precision and attention to detail.
Essential requirements:
* Tertiary qualification in engineering, construction management, project management or a related field and/or relevant knowledge and experience.
* Willingness to travel within NSW occasionally, as needed, to visit project sites and meet regional stakeholders.
* A current drivers licence.

The NSW Reconstruction Authority is a statutory corporation and executive agency of the Premier's Department, that will improve how NSW plans for disasters and ensure that we recover from them faster.
