Job Info Location: PERTH, WA Salary: Above Award Job Type: Permanent position | Full time position Job Description Our client has built a portfolio of brands that provide business intelligence, learning and consultancy to the marketing and legal industries. The portfolio represents some of the world’s leading brands in their sectors, providing customers with services that are of strategic importance. Each brand is building valuable proprietary data sets, helping to underpin their market positioning. We are looking for a Human Resources Director to lead the People and Culture team globally. Responsibilities Design, implement and rework the global operating model in line with the company’s strategic direction collaborating with senior leadership on organisational objectives and designing and deploying appropriate change plans Partner with senior leadership to develop and deploy people related initiatives informing educating and coaching as appropriate Ensure compliance with both internal policies, legal obligations and best practice in relation to handling employee relations issues, across multiple geographies to get the best possible outcomes for all stakeholders Work with senior leaders and external partners to assess commercial opportunities (divestments, acquisitions, new territories) and develop and execute these working across project teams as they are spun up Drive the automation of people related tasks and activities where this is appropriate, with particular focus on areas as HRIS, compensation, benefits and payroll providing timely and accurate services to colleagues and encouraging self service Continuous evaluation of employee value proposition, compensation and benefits examining external insights as well as employee feedback, liaising with partners (brokers, PEO, EoR etc) to assess viability Ensure the delivery of fair, accurate and timely cyclical processes including performance reviews, pay review cycles, bonus and commission awards as well as payroll and federal/government reporting Management of day to day global HR operations in an evolving corporate landscape (focus on US (NY, FL, TX, CA), Singapore, UK, Germany and Australia) Management of the HR budget, keeping finance breast of potential changes which could impact the forecast Leading and coaching the HR team to not only deliver requirements but also advance their professional development providing learning opportunities for them to advance their skills and knowledge Experience 18 years in HR roles leading teams across the entire HR remit, with a particular focus on change and transformation in global organisations including experience in the most senior HR position reporting directly to CEO or equivalent Specific experience in target operating model design and implementation within global spread workforces navigating the commercial, operation and legal implications in different geographies Proven experience of redesigning HR service model including implementation of HRIS and connectivity to associated ecosystems (such as payroll and LMS) Leading HR programme streams in acquisition and divestment activity Handling complex and senior stakeholder ER matters Working closely with senior stakeholders including Board Experience working in main market listed companies overseeing multiple regions accustomed to governance and reporting required in these environments Leading new country entry people activities including talent mapping, compensation and benefits benchmarking, talent sourcing, establishing legal and payroll routines and maintaining compliance Strong employment law exposure across multiple geographies with particular focus on US (NY, FL, TX, CA), Singapore, UK, Germany and Australia Working with EoRs and PEO alongside inhouse payroll and benefit services Skills Commercially orientated in fast paced, evolving organisations Ability to pivot between tactical and strategic matters quickly and reprioritise A pragmatic advisory mindset coaching and guiding managers (not doing their job for them) A global mindset with an awareness of both cultural and legal landscapes in local markets A strong communicator both in person and over video tools (given the dispersed workforce) Qualifications Masters qualified in a relevant discipline such as human resources, business or organisational psychology Fellowship status of AHRI or CIPD; or SHRM-SCP Organisational context A global role with dispersed colleagues and partners will require flexible hours The ability to build relationships quickly and maintain them at physical distance A lean team requires getting into the weeds/doing the admin as well as thinking more strategically, likely with limited support from external agents meaning needing to use your own resources to find answers
