You will perform a wide range of manual duties, setting up & pulling down equipment for conferences and events (C&E;), working in a variety of spaces both indoors and outdoors.
This is an active quick paced role in a large resort environment, frequently moving through the resort, including back of house and front of house and working alongside other department teams of staff, contractors and suppliers.This could be just the right role for you?
In this role, you will be primarily located back of house in our C&E; stores area, working in a team environment.ResponsibilitiesPerforming manual handling tasks, including lifting and moving heavy items i.e. furniture, large tables, chairs & event equipmentSetting up & break down of conferences and events, including furniture, buffet, bar, shelving and other itemsMovement, lifting, placement and storage of large & small furniture, equipment & stock items (e.g. boxes of goods, beverages, food etc) throughout the resort outlets & conference & event spacesUnloading & loading C&E; equipment and deliveries in the loading dock areaCommunicating and working well in a diverse team with others and can follow directionMaintaining a safe, clean and hygienic work spaceFlexibility to work in a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the resortAdhere to workplace health & safety, policies & proceduresEffective communication with AV Partners & equipment hire suppliers, contractors, clients and guests, delivering a professional five star service with a friendly smile and a positive 'can do' attitudeWork across a seven day rotating roster, including weekdays, evenings, weekends & public holidays (shift times vary between 5am - midnight/2am)What you'll need to be successfulAbility to perform physical duties, including heavy lifting up to 20kgs and repetitive tasks safelyPrevious food & beverage, conference & events experience in a 4/5 star hotel/resort environment, desirableCurrent QLD Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate, essentialEffective interpersonal & verbal communication skillsAbility to prioritise workload with a positive 'can do' attitude, work well in a team and follow directionDemonstrate attention to detail, use initiative and work autonomously in a responsible mannerAbility to interact with guests, suppliers and partners in a professional and friendly manner to deliver a high standard of serviceExcellent personal presentationWe are OfferingCompetitive hourly rate + penalties evenings, weekends & public holidays + superGenerous employee benefits & discounts on RACV products & resortsEmployee of the month award & recognition programsTraining and professional development for career growth opportunitiesUniformComplimentary parking onsiteThe RACV differenceBe part of a team who cares.
